What our customers say

I find your business quite intriguing – not just the remarkably designed models but how you appear to do all of this with a very small team. Your personal resumes on the web site tell me all I need to know about you and show the spirit that must run through your group. Despite my impatient and ham-fisted slow progress (I know, I chose one of the hardest to begin) the whole idea of the company is one that appeals to me greatly, as someone who has spent a career in technology start-ups and operations, it’s so nice to see something that is so kind of traditional, yet innovative, too. Mankind has used wood to make objects since the stone age but you have taken it to a new level, though with some roots in the last couple of hundred years, is how I’d assess it.

I am very impressed with the company, the products and the service, in many ways!

With kind regards

Greg

Hi Luise,

We cannot fault this company - the kits are reasonably priced, well packaged and fun to build! Instructions are clear and easy to follow (by our 14yr old son) plus there are videos available online to assist with the trickier bits! Customer service also goes above and beyond - when we discovered an incorrect part in our box, communication was very efficient and a replacement was sent out to us immediately -in France!! We would thoroughly recommend Timberkits avd their products!

Best wishes,

Denise

Hello
Thank you for sending me so promptly the Guitarist kit.
I thought that I must write to you to tell you how impressed I was and am about how the kit is make, put together and is presented.
I bought wooden self build kits from all over before but I must say yours is the best I've ever purchased. Thank you.
Keep up your great work.
Best regards

I have just built this and I wanted to let you know how well engineered the

kit was. The drawings and instructions were superb, the adhesive just

right for setting time etc, and the layout of all the parts in the boxes

very well planned.

Seldom have I come across anything nearly as good as this.  Well done.

Thank you again.

I put the order in and left you a note in the comment section.

Thanks again for all the help and information.

You and your company are a pleasure to work with and put out a great

"We have the Shaun the Sheep kit for this age bracket and my daughter absolutely loves it, we're getting another for a friend, really educational and a brilliant mechanical toy for any child"

Last night after a long day of site seeing in Salisbury and Stonehenge, I returned to find a box FULL of TIMBERKITS goodness.

Thank you so very much.  I can truthfully and honestly say i have NEVER had a better experience with a company anywhere in the world.

Thank you again.

- Timberkits goodness

Bought a fantastic Pianist last year and am following this up with an easier Monkey and a London scene. Bought these as birthday presents for a academic who needs something challenging but relaxing and hands-on rather than solely brain power. He loves them!!!

I try and get him things that are challenging but that are also very different from the intense studying he does all day. He really enjoyed the pianist - I gambled that it wouldn't be too difficult for him.

I must say that I really think your company is great, fantastic service, quick delivery and the items are lovely. I look forward to seeing your product range grow and grow - some poor designer has got his work cut out trying to think up more designs!

The Drummer

Having seen two of the animations in action in a toyshop in Ambleside, I

purchased the drummer kit. Never having made anything like this before it

was an interesting challenge but the end result is wonderful and has amused

my grandchildren, our friends and neighbours. Most ingenious and he really

does beat out his own rhythm! This has now inspired me at the age of 69 to

have a go at making my own animations! The first one has now been completed

and with guidance and instruction from Sarah I am well on the way to making

my second. Many thanks to Timberkits whose well thought out kits and

enthusiasm has given me a new hobby late in my years.

- New hobby

Really hooked on the kits, superbly written instructions and

pictorial manual plus online help if needed! Great value for money in my

opinion. Cant wait to start the "vintage car" for my next project...

- Really hooked!

As a parent I am great fan of Timberkits. They are excellent
quality and provide manageable challenge for children.
My son is huge fan of the kits and, well, I'll let him tell you what he
thinks...

"The timberkits I have made so far are the catapult, biplane and pianist. I am
working on the biplane. So far my favroute is the biplane. I liked it
because it was more complex than the others. But the others were great fun!
I am looking forward to doing more in the future."

We would always be keen to seen new designs and ranges.
Well done, Timberkits.

Golly, that was such FUN! I'm pleased to bits with my pirate

wrangling with an octopus! The painting was enjoyable and following the

construction instructions was quite exciting! I added a few embellishments

and encouraged the pirate to dip to his right more often by adding a bunch

of keys to the  hook for a little extra weight.

I'm addicted now ....  monkey next perhaps?

- Addicted now!

Good evening. I won a Timberkits bundle in a funny photo caption competition by Create & Craft TV during their CHA launch. The kits are the Dragon, Kissing Couple, Accordion Player, Rower and Double Bass Player. I had watched a few of your shows on Create & Craft, so I was familiar with what to expect and was delighted to have won such a generous amount of these wonderful kits. This afternoon I finally started constructing my first Timberkit, the Kissing Couple. It took me almost two weeks of just admiring the packaging and watching videos on your website before I finally mustered the courage to begin. This is a totally new adventure for me. I’m 67 years old but never tire of learning new things. I’m not a great one for measuring and cutting and my mechanical skills are suspect, so this kit has solved all that. So far I’ve only gotten through page 4 and as soon as everything is dry, I’ll take a deep breath and move on to the next part. The quality is very good and the fact that everything I need is included is much appreciated. Well, I have just tested the joins, and everything is well and truly set, so I don’t have any excuse to delay. Wish me luck. Let the adventure begin!

I'm disabled and house bound much of the time. I originally discovered Timberkits when I was looking for a present to make for my sister who had just re - discovered the piano. That was my first foray into heaven! Every time I order a new kit, the excitement begins and by the time it arrives, I want every day to last forever.
Thank you Timberkits for giving me a reason to look forward to my days. Please keep designing these fantastic models. My friends and family can't believe that I actually manage to build these superb creations.

Whenever I've had a problem with construction, or made a booboo, I have always been given help and advice straight away. The team couldn't be friendlier or more helpful. I could waffle on for pages, but please, please buy a kit and find out for yourselves.

I wish I could persuade everyone everywhere to check out and buy your incredible products.
Timberkits, you rock!

At 61 and having been bought up, on a diet of Airfix plastic kits, Meccano, Jigsaws, Electric Trains etc, my latest conquest has been your 'Drummer' - a Christmas gift from my daughter! What a delight - and what an amazing finished article! I found the kit most engaging and derived immense pleasure constructing it - It's difficult not to want to operate it everytime you see it. The presentation of the various parts and the instructions were first class - congratulations!

My order for two of your kits arrived a few days ago.(Drummer and Dragon) They are Christmas pressies for grandchildren. Your response to my order was very rapid indeed, and the made up models are absolutely beautiful, works of art really.  A pity I have to gave them away! Thank you very much.

My daughter purchased one of your drummer kits for xmas. I have just had the pleasure of building it and wanted to say thank you. Wonderful packing and instructions.

I've just watched you on Dragons Den and felt compelled to get in contact with you. I absolutely love your product and will be purchasing a dragon later in the year for a Christmas present for my extremely patriotic father. However it would be lovely to have a factory just a journey up the road where we could come along and visit and maybe offer a workshop to help not very practical people, like my father.

Many thanks for your time reading this, and many congratulations and well done on such amazing products.

Just seen you guys on "Dragon's Den"! Love the products and will definitely be buying!!! Love them all!!!

Hi, I saw your timberkits on Dragons Den this evening and I wonder if you had considered marketing to schools, local education authorities or educational suppliers? Every year my school has the Year 5 and year 6 children build a project to give them an understanding of cams and levers, they make very dull, identical and rather pointless frames with a core spindle two cams and followers inside. How very much more captivating and engrossing it would be if they could choose and order what model they wanted to build, to enthuse and give a more satisfactory learning outcome.
I hope you find this suggestion helpful.

Hi just saw your products on dragons den! They are all great! Are you able to do a piper playing bagpipes

Timberkits align nicely with the maker movement in education. Your kits empower kids to be creative and teach them important hands-on skills. We tend to jump over the hands-on to the remote controlled a bit too quickly, and I think the tactile aspect of your kits - as well as the possibility for artistic expression, creates an individuality that is important for kids to be fully engaged.

My mission is to introduce our students to hands-on technology, guide the most gifted toward scientific careers, and provide an educational tool that adapts to all students and materials. TimberKits accomplish all three tasks and more.

The Magician. Eureka!, it's completed. I have thoroughly enjoyed constructing this most intriguing - nonetheless still complicated - model. I took my time. Everything has gone together successfully (with some crossed fingers), it is fully operational and I am fascinated and delighted with all that is going on at the turn of the spindle.

My sincere congratulations to the designer on achieving all the working parts, particularly the timing of the closing and opening of the hands. You do not actually see the "magic Wheel" containing the frog, rabbit, apple and teapot turn, they just appear!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thank you, Timberkits for all the pleasure and challenge provided by your kits, I would even suggest that The Magician is your best yet (I have now made up seven of your kits) especially because of the final visual effect and all the levers and cams which are achieving them.
