Timberkits - moving wooden models you make yourself - were first made in a cowshed in the hills of mid-Wales in the early 'nineties.
Now 15 years later they are still unique and popular with the sort of people who like to use their hands as well as their heads.
There is now wide range enjoyed all over the world. Each model comes with clear how-to-build instructions.
But you can still pick up the phone and chat to someone who knows about the process of making the wooden models and can advise – or go to our online support forum.
We aim to bring out 2 or 3 new designs a year. We are now launching the ‘Flat Bits’ range of model kits which are easier to construct and cheaper than our standard models.
Featuring jungle animals such as the monkey, lion and elephant, they should appeal to children and make ideal presents and Christmas stocking fillers.
All our wooden kits are made with New Zealand pine, which is sustainably sourced, gives a precise finish, a pleasant feel and a warm natural colour.
Distribution for UK and Europe is from a warehouse (not far from the original cowshed) which also houses a Museum of Automata, Machinations, Café and Timberkits shop. Why not visit us?
Our kits include the following - why not collect a set?

Designer Eric Williamson dreams up new ideas which, after much tweaking, eventually find their way back to Wales, having been made to a high standard in China.
The mad designer has been at it for about 20 years - starting with one off, hand-carved commissioned Automata of all sizes to suit anything from shopping precincts to individual collectors.
One of the most spectacular was the Mad Hatter's Tea Party (pictured above and now somewhere in Japan) in which the Hatter takes his hat off revealing the dormouse who turns his head from side to side and bats his eyelids. Alice drinks her tea and the rabbit takes his watch out of his pocket.
He then moved on to designing for manufacture at our own small factory and is now is trying to keep up with the demand for new designs from our customers worldwide as well as liaising with our excellent manufacturers in China.
Writing clear how-to-build instructions is as demanding as designing the original model, but with Eric's clear drawings we believe we do as good a job as possible.

We are a small company so can provide a personal service to our shops and retail customers.
Luise looks after our customers and is twenty times better than a recorded message and gives excellent service.
We also benefit from strong links with our Chinese /Taiwanese agents and suppliers who in turn provide us with a perfect service.
Retail or Wholesale - if you have queries you can be assured that they will be dealt with speedily and efficiently by someone who has made thousands of models and knows all the 'ins and outs.'
